Day 1
In the morning, after breakfast, your professional driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali and begin the drive to the northern part of Rwanda, in Huye District, to visit the Ethnographic Museum. The drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. This museum, built in the late 1980s as a gift from the King of Belgium, showcases Rwanda’s rich cultural history, traditional artifacts, and provides insight into the daily life of Rwandan people in past years. After the museum visit, enjoy lunch and some time to relax. Continue your journey to the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza District, where you will gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s royal heritage, monarchy, architecture, and the lifestyle of kings. Experience the long-horned Inyambo cattle, traditional songs, and dances, which bring the history and culture to life. This tour offers a profound insight into Rwanda’s past and culture, leaving you with lasting memories. After the visit, return to Kigali for drop-off at your accommodation.
