Tour Itineraries

  • Day 1

    In the morning, after breakfast, our professional driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali and embark on a 2.5 to 3-hour scenic drive to Musanze, near Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation, relax, unwind, and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to immerse yourself in Rwandan traditional culture, experiencing local dances, songs, and customs. Then, continue to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you will learn about Dian Fossey’s gorilla conservation efforts and the ongoing protection of mountain gorillas. Return to your accommodation to relax and spend the night, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

  • Day 2

    In the early morning, embark on your Gorilla trekking adventure. Travel to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi, where you will register, meet your guide, and receive a briefing before heading into the forest. Venture into the lush rainforest to encounter the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Spend time observing their daily life, behavior, and interactions, creating an unforgettable wildlife experience. After the trek, return to your accommodation for lunch and check-out, then drive back to Kigali for drop-off at your accommodation.

  • Day 3

    In the late morning, after breakfast, you will depart for Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda, approximately a 2.5-hour drive. Upon arrival, register at the park and begin your game drive, spotting the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino—along with other wildlife as you make your way to your accommodation for check-in and lunch. After lunch, continue your game drive toward Lake Ihema for a boat ride, where you can observe aquatic animals, birds, and elephants coming to drink. Following the boat ride, continue your game drive, exploring more of the park’s rich biodiversity. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay, completing a full day of unforgettable wildlife experiences.

  • Day 4

    In the early morning, embark on a game drive to spot lions and other predators as they search for prey—an exciting opportunity to witness wildlife behavior in action. Return to your accommodation for breakfast and check-out, then continue your game drive, spotting any animals you may have missed earlier. This drive takes approximately five hours as you make your way toward the park exit in the northern section. Afterward, return to Kigali for drop-off at your accommodation. This adventure promises unforgettable memories and a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience.
