Tour Itineraries

  • Day 1

    In the early morning, our professional driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Kigali and drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi, a journey of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Upon arrival, complete registration and receive a briefing from the park’s professional guides. Then, embark into the lush rainforest to trek majestic Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. Once found, you will spend one hour observing and interacting with these gentle giants, learning about their behavior and daily life. After the trek, return to your accommodation to check in, relax, and unwind, enjoying the facilities before an overnight stay, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

  • Day 2

    In the early morning, your driver-guide will take you to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters. Be there by 7:00 AM for the briefing and to meet your guide. Embark on a Golden Monkey trek through the lush rainforest. These monkeys are the only primates that share their habitat with the Mountain Gorillas. Spend approximately one hour observing their behavior, interactions, and daily activities. After this unique experience, return to your accommodation for lunch and some relaxation. Then check out and begin the drive back to Kigali, arriving at your accommodation to conclude the day.

  • Day 3

    In the late morning, after breakfast, head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and pay tribute to the victims. After this reflective visit, enjoy lunch and some relaxation, then continue to Umusambi Village to explore environmental conservation efforts and observe how the sanctuary is protecting the endangered Grey Crowned Cranes. Conclude the day with a visit to Kimironko Market, one of Kigali’s most vibrant markets, where you can shop for gifts and souvenirs. Return to your accommodation for refreshment, dinner, and an overnight stay.

  • Day 4

    In the morning, your driver-guide will pick you up and drive to Nyungwe National Park, a journey of approximately 5 to 6 hours. Along the way, enjoy the stunning landscapes and rolling hills of Rwanda. Upon arrival, meet your guide and embark on a Colobus Monkey trekking adventure. Explore the forest to observe these playful primates in their natural habitat, spending around one hour with them to learn about their behavior and interactions. After the trek, exit the forest and head to your accommodation to check in, enjoy lunch, refresh, and relax, experiencing the services and comforts of your stay.

  • Day 5

    In the early morning, head to the Nyungwe National Park reception, meet your guide, complete registration, and receive a briefing. Embark on a chimpanzee trekking adventure through the lush rainforest. Once you find the chimpanzees, spend approximately one hour observing and learning about their behavior, social interactions, and daily life. After the trek, return to your accommodation for lunch and refreshment, then check out and drive back to Kigali, arriving at your accommodation to conclude the adventure.
