Tour Itineraries

  • Day 1

    Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional driver-guide, who will accompany you throughout your safari. From there, you’ll drive directly to Akagera National Park. After registration at the park entrance, enjoy a short game drive en route to your lodge for check-in. Take some time to relax and have lunch before heading out again for an afternoon game drive toward Lake Ihema. Here, you’ll experience a scenic boat ride, offering the chance to spot aquatic wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, as well as other animals that gather at the lake to drink. Afterward, continue your game drive through the park, where you may encounter the famed Big Five — lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffaloes. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 2

    Early in the morning, head out for an exciting game drive to spot wildlife, including lions that are often still active from their night hunts — a truly unforgettable experience. Afterward, return to your lodge to freshen up, enjoy breakfast, and check out. You’ll then continue your journey through the northern part of Akagera National Park, enjoying more wildlife sightings along the way. A packed lunch will be provided to enjoy during the drive. The full game drive to the park’s exit typically takes about 5 to 6 hours, offering plenty of opportunities to observe Rwanda’s stunning landscapes and diverse animals. After exiting the park, you’ll drive back to Kigali, where you’ll check in to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 3

    After breakfast, begin your exploration of Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. Your first stop will be the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you’ll learn about the tragic history of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and gain insight into Rwanda’s remarkable journey of unity, reconciliation, and rebuilding into a peaceful nation. Next, visit the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, an inspiring community initiative where local women work together to empower themselves through crafts and entrepreneurship. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase beautiful handmade souvenirs that support their livelihoods. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and take some time to relax. In the afternoon, continue to Umusambi Village, a restored wetland sanctuary that provides a safe haven for the endangered grey-crowned cranes and stands as a model for environmental conservation in Rwanda. End your day with a visit to Kimironko Market, one of Kigali’s busiest and most colorful markets, where you can shop for fresh produce, crafts, and more souvenirs. Later, return to your accommodation to relax, unwind, and enjoy your overnight stay.

  • Day 4

    After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the southern part of Rwanda to explore two of the country’s most significant cultural landmarks — the Ethnographic Museum and the King’s Palace Museum. Your first stop will be the Ethnographic Museum in Huye District. This fascinating museum showcases Rwanda’s rich history, traditional lifestyles, and cultural heritage during the pre-colonial and colonial periods. After the visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue your journey to the King’s Palace Museum, where you’ll learn about Rwanda’s monarchical past and the traditional royal way of life. The museum offers insights into the country’s former kingdom, including its customs, leadership, and architectural style.
